Giant Western Nassa

Giant Western Nassa: Nassarius fossatus

Common Names: Channelled Nassa, Basket Shell

 

This scavenger is a prolific breeder and is one of the most commonly encountered snails on the outer coast. It is a fast crawler and will try to outrun predators such as the Giant Pink Sea Star.
