Spiny Dogfish: Squalus acanthias
This shark is considered a nuisance by both commercial and recreational fishermen. The Spiny Dogfish readily goes after bait. If you happen to catch it, be careful to avoid its sharp teeth and the sharp spines in its dorsal fins.
