Ratfish: Hydrolagus colliei
Ratfish belong to the family of Chimaeridae along with chimaeras and ghost sharks. The term Chimaeridae comes from the Greek mythological monster the chimaera that was a hideous combination of monsters being part lion, part goat, and part serpent. The name is fitting for this fish, which looks like a grotesque combination, part rat and part fish.
